What Causes Arm Pain After Working On The Computer For Long Hours?
All of a sudden I have a sore arm seemingly isolated between the elbow and the just below the shoulder. It came on very suddenly. It has come and gone all day and hurts to touch. I was wondering if it may be the result of too much computer time and not enough support. No other symptoms. No chest pains, not fever, no feeling of sickness.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to tennis elbow or otherwise called lateral epicodylitis. This more common in computer professionals nowadays. NSAIDs, rest and physiotherapy will be helpful for this. Your physiotherapists may give massage therapy and teach physical exercises. You can also wear tennis elbow brace. If all these not helping then corticosteroid injections will be helpful. Better to have a consultation with an orthopedician to rule out the condition and to manage it. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
