What Causes Appetite Loss?

I m 18, usually a healthy eater and extremely active. But with the past couple months I ve struggled with a lack of appetite. I can eat a small meal about once a day to get me through but I can t get myself to eat more than that. I m also really tired throughout the day no matter how much sleep I get be it 7 or 9 hours at night. I make sure to go to be before midnight and drink about a quart of water a day. I get plenty of sunshine and try to eat a wide variety of food. I m not depressed I enjoy life quite a bit.

Hello,

1. Any pain in the abdomen?
2. Is there any blood coming out with stool?
3. Can you describe your daily stool?
4. What food normally you eat?
5. Is there chest tightness?
6. Is there a burning sensation in the stomach?
7. Are you alcohol drinker or smoker?

I also like to have some tests on you:

1. Abdomen CT
2. USG Abdomen
3. Complete Blood Count including ESR
4. CEA and Carbohydrate Antigen (CA)
5. Kidney Function Test
6. Liver Function Test
7. Stool microscopy and Culture

I know its too many tests but as it is a question and I have to answer all at once, I am sorry that I have to say so many tests. Do not worry. The result of these tests will guide us on what to do next.

With all the answers to the above questions and diagnostic results, please post another question or consult a doctor.

Wish you a good health Meantime, please try to have some juice, light foods, change your meals often, eat small meals at a time, take some fiber-rich foods, etc.

Do not worry, there are ample of treatments and we are here to serve you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
