General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Loss of appetite does not seem to be related to the surgery for this long however certain drugs may cause it, please let us know if he is taking any drug.

There are more important causes like liver problems, gallbladder issues, stomach problems like ulcer, constipation. So he needs proper evaluation by a gastroenterologist if things have not worked for him.

One reason for the loss of appetite is depression as well so that also may be a cause which needs to be addressed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
