What Causes Anxiety Attack After A Hysterectomy?

I am a 58 and 15 years ago I had a hysterectomy and surgey for diverticulitis and in Oct. 2016 I was on amoxicillin for 14 days and zithromax for 5 days. I ended up having an anxiety attack and ended up in the er where they gave me atiavan and that gave me depression. I now suffer daily with hot flashes and can not get over the anxiety and depression. Could this be a chemical imbalance. I have never been depressed in my life.

Hi, I think you are experiencing post menopausal symptoms. You can take some isoflavones containing tablet for that. Also try some yoga and meditation. If it doesn't work, you may need some hormonal treatment also. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
