What Causes Anxiety And Extreme Mood Swings?

Hi everybody, I have concern in regards to anxiety. I ve always been a worrier ever since I was a child, I m often irritable and emotionally intense because of my worries. I will mention I have an aunt who is dealing with the same issues. Now as an adult, I ve reached a breaking point with my anxiety. It s now gotten to the point to where I m having suicidal thoughts and having such a hard time with it. I don t know what this is, I can say I m having a hard time falling alseep due to racing thoughts. When I try to do something physical I run out of energy and become fatigued easily. I d appreciate some opinions on this matter.

hello, I understand your concern regarding anxiety and it's effects you are dealing with. How old are you? What do you do(work)? Since when you started experiencing anxiety and worrying?(what age)
First of all, I would like to say, you are trying to seek medical attention is a very good thing. Many people just don't think of this because of what others will say. You have successfully taken a step towards helping yourself. There might be lots of reasons for this anxiety. Talk about it to your parents or someone close to you rather than only thinking about it on your own. Because sometimes we need help from others in such matters where things are making us worry and feeling comes that no solution is there. Apart from family members or friends, so far this best advise I can give you is,visiting a psychiatrist or psychotherapist in person. As a detailed history and your thoughts, issues need to be listened by a specialist. It will be few counselling sessions along with if need some medicines to bring the anxiety down slowly. So that you will be able to learn a proper way to manage the issues you are having now. More you open up about what is bothering you, it's better to help you.And the professionals don't judge you for whatever the issue is, they will help you best possible ways. sometimes it happens without any reason, because in our brain chemical changes happen which lead to anxiety, thoughts which we don't like but with proper counselling and medical treatment over some time you can feel the change, it is definitely treatable. It's just mental illness but need to be given care as much all give to physical illness.
The suicidal thoughts are coming because you are not able to manage or deal with this. I guess you are also aware of the fact that commiting suicide is not a solution of anything. It will create more problems to your loved ones.Fighting it back is the best way.
Few things to feel relaxed, you can do are -exercising, meditation, deep breathing, doing things that you feel happy when you do it, do not give attention to things that bring anxiety in you. It takes time but more your willpower fast you come out. So believe in yourself because when you know you can deal with it then you surely can, hope this helps. If you have any further queries do feel free to contact. Stay healthy and happy.
