What Causes Anxiety And Depressed Feelings Throughout The Day?

I've been feeling down in the dumps for a couple of months now. Every morning I wake with anxiety which affects me throughout the morning. Some days it subsides in the latter part of the afternoon only to be struck again the next morning. Also, crippling depressed feelings can sometimes over-take my day, where as on other days feel more like myself. It's an ongoing cycle. Don't really want to take any prescription drugs for this. What do you suggest?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be a seasonal depression. You can overcome that with some measures like taking a long walk outside. Don't take yourself alone. Talk to someone. Playing games or sport will be good also. Take proteinaceous food. Avoid excess carbohydrate. You can take dark chocolate moderately which also helps. Breathing exercises also will be helpful. If all these not helpful then counselling with a psychologist will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
