What Causes Anxiety And Body Tremors After An Anaesthetic Procedure?

I had a c section tuesday last week (6 days ago). No complications with the pregnancy. and this is my first baby. I have a few questions that my drs are refusing to answer... How long do the internal stitches take to heal or how long does it take for the internal wound to heal to the point that i dont have to worry about ripping it open... I had general anaesthetic and when they administered it it burned down my arm and then i couldnt breathe and started shaking before passing out... now every night i have anxiety attacks and shake... either falling asleep or waking up... what could be the cause of all this? Lastly im paranoid about tearing my stitches open, is it possible, easy? what would be the symptoms of this happening?

Hi,
Thanks for adking.
All the symptoms you have are due to fear&tension of the post operative complications.
External stiches heal up within 8-10 days. Internal stitches take about 15-20 days (depending personal makeup of body.,presence of subcutaneous fat, health of the skin &general health of the person.
Even after the stiches heal &stiching material is absorbed...it's important to keep the area clean/avoid rubbing or scratching the part.
To complete the complete course ofmedicines advised /to have good nutrition with proteins,vitamins/have easy movements (avoid excess of rest &slerp)completes the care of the stitches. They won't open up with this care. Please stay cool &relaxed. You can have a session on post operative councelling if needful.
Having good care, positive thinking would relieve doubts &anxiety &you would be confident &free of the tremors too.
Thanks.
