Hello,

Perimenopause itself may cause pedal edema or dependent edema. Maybe, it is physiological in chronic sitting work people.

Other possibilities like cardiac failure or renal failure or liver problems or hypoproteinemia may present like this. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Exercise your calf muscles to improve pumping capacity of limbs.

Please get cardiac, renal or liver function tests done. Please consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
