What Causes Anal Pain And Blood In Stool While Defecating?

I am a 42 year old female. While passing stool , i feel severe pain and burning sensation in my anus which persists till evening. I thought it was constipation but now I find that even with normal stool, the problem is happening. Traces of blood also used to come out earlier but now there is no blood. I am taking a lactulose solution daily. Whom to consult, a general physician or if a specialist, plz specify the specialisation Regards.

It seems you are suffering from hemorrhoid. Hemorrhoids are common in patients with spinal-cord injuries, constipation, chronic diarrhea, poor bathroom habits, postponing bowel movements, and a poor-fiber diet. Hemorrhoids tend to get worse over time, and it should be treated as soon as it is diagnosed. Several surgical and non-surgical techniques are used to treat hemorrhoids. There are some preventive measures which I can tell you over here. Those are
1.     Consult a general surgeon. He will do a per rectal examination and further management as per findings
2.     Include fiber in your diet such as split peas, lentils, black beans, lima beans, baked beans, whole grains and vegetables
3.     Ferrous sulfate tablet – one tablet daily per oral
4.     Folic acid 5 mg daily per oral
5.     Tablet albendazole 400 mg – one tablet daily for 2 days only
6.     Syrup lactulose 2 teaspoonful per oral at bed time if you have constipation
7.     Drink 4 – 5 liters of water daily
8.     Avoid weight lifting
9.     Avoid straining while defecating
10.     Investigation – Hb%
Thanks
