What Causes An Urge To Defecate While Suffering From Hemorrhoids?

I had the THD hemorrhoid procedure done 8 days ago. Ever since then I ve had an unbearable sensation to have a bowel movement 24/7, it never goes away. I attempt to have a bowel movement and barely anything comes out and the sensation is not resolved. I m also having to strain very bad to get anything out, even though the bowels are soft, resulting in new external hemorrhoids. The only thing that relieves my pressure is taking a sitz bath. Is this normal for this procedure?

Thanks for contacting healthcare magic.

I understand your problem..
Hemorroids cause difficulty in bowel movement and some time bleed also cause burning sensation sometimes.

Warm sitz bath helpful in hemorroids.
Topical applications of anti inflammatory drugs helpful in hemorroids. Topical analgesic gel also helpful.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol drinking.
Take high fiber foods like whole grains, oats ..etc to reduce constipation.

Drink more water and avoid excessive straining at toilet. Consent a physician for further treatment.

I hope my guidance helpful to you..
Take care.
Thank you.
