What Causes An Unexplained Painful Bruise On The Bicep With No Injury?
Hi. I am a healthy female aged 38 and a large red bruise has appeared on my upper bicep with no injury. It has a painful hard pea size centre which is the colour of my normal skin but then then a large area around the pea is red n gets darker away from the centre. The pea only hurts when touched. I have noticed a sensation down my arm n up my neck once or twice but I could be imagining this. Otherwise no other issues noted. There is no evidence of an insect bite.

I really appreciate your concern, it may be infection may be blood born it need to be kept under observation for abscess formation till then pain could be managed with Tab Ibuprofen 200 mg three times in day, such skin condition or clinical condition always demands the clinical examination for right diagnosis hope this information helps.
