What Causes An Outgrowth On Tongue?
Recently, I have noticed a piece of the top of my tongue (ca. 2-3 mm) sticking out of my tongue. It doesn't hurt but it looks like it was pulled out a little, so that you can see a tiny blood vessel underneath. I can wiggle it around but it stays connected to the tongue. This was maybe 2-3 days a ago. What could this be?

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, the outgrowth could be a traumatic fibroma secondary to chronic irritation caused by chronic biting on the tongue...nothing to worry you can get the growth excised and remove the cause like rounding off the sharp cuspal edges of the teeth.. i hope my answer will help you..take care..
