What Causes An Itchy Spot On The Side Of My Neck?

I have a dark mark (much like a hickey) on the side of my neck, but I know it isn t what it looks like. I m worried because it was not visible a day ago but the spot was very sensitive and started to itch everytime I have touched it so I apply lotion, it helps but then it starts back up. I have noticed the spot has become a red is and purple and it s not very small. What could it be?

I really appreciate your concern, it may be fungal infection and it can be managed with Miconazole cream on tentative basis and if it fails to respond then it need to be sent for clinical examination all the skin condition demands the clinical examination hope this information helps.
