What Causes An Ingrown Hair At The Top Of Buttocks?

I have what I believe is an ingrown hair, right at the top of the ass-crack/lower back. It is not painful, but it leaves behind a putrid moisture. Tomorrow, I will going to the hospital to consult a doctor about the problem. But, I wondered if there was any self-treatment I could use to lessen its growth.

Hello

Putrid moisture with hair at the gluteal cleft is suggestive of Pilonidal Sinus.
There are accumulation of hairs in the cleft. Sometimes these clefts may get infected and an abscess may formed. In that case antibiotic treatment and surgery will be needed.
I would suggest you to consult a surgeon for proper examination and treatment accordingly.
Regards
