What Causes An Indentation On The Inner Cheek Along With Swelling?

I bit the left side of my cheek and an indent appeared within a few days from the bite. The indent has worsened along with swelling of the inside part of my cheek. Also that area of my cheek is a bit more veiny than the right side, and there is constant irritation and a bit of pain. I can t bite all the way down either because of the swelling. My wisdom tooth on the left side on top is all the way in which I think is in constant contact with my cheek and could be hindering my healing...

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of indentation on the inner cheek along with swelling which is because cheek tissue which is getting caught between teeth and it could be due to sharp cusp edges due to which cheek is getting traumatised, and it is becoming more prone to injury again and again.

Need not to worry, I would suggest you to be very careful while eating anything and avoid sharp, hot and spicy food substances. You should apply mucopain gel on sore area and do general massage. You should take zerodol tablet if you experiencing pain. Visit oral physician once and get your sharp cuspal edges of the teeth rounded off. Get complete examination done and drink plenty f water. Maintain proper hygiene.
