What Causes An Increase In Blood Pressure After An Hour?

hi, my mother has high blood preassure 178 and 71 with pulse 50. We saw the doctor today at 4 pm and she said that the blood preassure was fine. After one hour my mother measured the blood preassure and it was 180 and 80. I am worried about her. she takes two kind of medication:apo-bisoprolol and co losartan

Hi,

If you have measured her BP with an electronic device, then, I suggest to get the device checked. The majority of my patients who uses such device to measure BP do report false results.

I advise to control the device if it is working properly and to get her bp measured by a standard bp meter (non electronic).

Get her medications regularly and advise her not to use too much salty and oily foods and coffee.

Keep always in contact with her cardiologist.
