What Causes An Impression Of Dark Ring Just Above The Ankle?
Hi I am a 54 year old woman whom is over weight I have a ring or impression of a ring just above my ankle on both feet. my feet are not swollen from retaining fluids but I do have veracious veins I am told on the left leg. I know that if you have a dark ring sometimes around your neck this could mean you have diabetes. I have a history with siblings that have it. could this ring also mean that or is it just from the over weight Thank for your help Carla

Dark rings around ankles and neck in no way indicate the presence of diabetes mellitus.Around the ankles these could be due to varicose veins over the lower limbs.
