Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi About 4-5 weeks ago I had some discomfort around ovary area and groin. I noticed 1 enlarged lymph node in groin. Saw my doctor who said shaving may have caused this. I have now noticed another node come up beside the other one. I had a pelvic ultrasound which was normal and also a groin ultrasound which was also normal. The biggest node was 1.2cm. My doctor has informed me to keep an eye on it. However, I am still getting strange feelings in the area. Sometimes it feels like bladder discomfort and also aches over the node. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Harshita's Response
Hello,
1. This could be due to folliculitis which means breakage of the hair shaft while itching because of the heat produced by wearing tight clothing.
2. Apply antibiotic ointment MUPIROCIN over the node twice a day for 5 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Harshita, Infectious Diseases Specialist
