What Causes Amenorrhea Along With Sore Breasts And Abdominal Bloating?

I have missed 2 periods. Last period was July 29 th. I am like clock work with my periods, never miss and always start right on the date (28 day cycle) or a couple of days early. In August when it was time for my period, I started the small amount of bleeding like my day 1 usually is, but it ended the next day. I didn t have a full blown period. I counted 28 days out from that, which would have been yesterday, still no period. I have symptoms: sore breast, heaviness/bloated feeling in pelvic area, have had small amount of cramping here and there, weird smells that only I can smell, tired more than usual, sensitive/emotional. I have had fibroids for years, and doctors have told me that I will most likely never get pregnant because of them, so I accepted it and was ok with that. Never used protection because I figured it wasn t necessary since I couldn t get pregnant. I took a test today, it was negative. I am just curious since I always, always have had heavy periods, never missed a period or never was late..... and now it s been 2 months. Oh yeah, and I passed something that looked like white mucus about a week ago. Not sure what that was.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As far as my clinical experience is concerned, this sounds to be hormone imbalance issue rather than a pregnancy.

Just wait for further 7-10 days for the menstruation, which will definitely follow, in absence of which consult your OB/GYN.

Do give me further chance to assist in future.

Thank you.
