What Causes Acute Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis?

Are there various forms of the drug Carafate other than the suspension? We are treating our dog for acute hemorrhagic enteritis with Carafate suspension (slurry) TID as per our vet. I would like to avoid using a slurry to simplify the administration of the medication at 0600. I am a high school teacher that must leave the house at 0630. We need to get up at 0500 to get the slurry into my dog and take him for a walk...and then depart for school along with my 15 year old twin boys to get to school by 0700.
