What Causes Acute Flare Up Of Hip Pain Despite Taking Prednisone?

6o mg Prednisone started for an acute flair up of hip pain. 65 y.o. female w/history of possible occult fx L hip 8 years ago, experiencing gradual increases in pain and decreased mobility over last several years. Questioning using Turmeric Supreme, Gaia Herbs product in addition to this. Unable to take NSAIDS for pain relief.

Sorry regarding your symptoms of pain at your hip region despite taken prednisone I am suggesting the following differential diagnosis
Osteoarthritis
Lumber spondylitis
Spondylolisthesis
Spinal cord injury
Nerve root lesion
Disc prolapse
Septic arthritis
SLE

In view of this please do the following test
MRI TEST
LUMBOSACRAL X-RAY
BLOOD CULTURE
ESR
C-REACTIVE PROTEIN
Meanwhile please see an orthopaedic specialist with the results and for further expect clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
