Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query symptoms such as throat irritation and coughing symptoms it points towards Gastro-esophageal reflux disease also known as acid reflux in which which acid from stomach enters into food pipe and throat leading to irritation and inflammation which causes heart burn as well as tickling and irritation in throat. You should take combination of proton pump inhibitors such as Omeprazole or Pantoprazole along with antacids such as Calcium carbonate. Coughing is due to throat irritation and acidic taste in mouth is due to the taste of acid that is coming into mouth. You should avoid large meals rather than this take frequent small meals. Drink plenty of water. Avoid spicy, acidic, hot food substances. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly. You should go for exercise daily.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
