What Causes Acid Reflux And Pain In The Breast Bone?

A while back I had heartburn. The doctor recommended Nexium 24 for 14 days. I did 8, and stopped. I stopped because it seemed to be making me more sick to my stomach. It got better. I have the ache again in my breast bone meets by the stomach. It s on and off. Can I take Nexium again, I have 6 more pills, or is there another antiacid I should consider?

Hi,

Yes, you need to avoid certain things before you start taking anti-acids or any other medication.

Avoid smoking and drinking late night, raise head side of your bed about six to nine inches, don't take oily and junk foods, don't keep your stomach empty for too long.

You can start taking Pantoprazole according to the doctor's advice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
