Hello,

Occipital neuralgia should be considered as a possible condition that may cause your symptoms.

It is linked mainly to irritation of the upper cervical nerves that supply the back and top of the head.

In such cases, perimeural injections of anesthetics and corticosteroids is a treatment way that results in significant improvement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
