Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Abnormal Mental Behavior After Using Bath Salts?
Hello me and my friend tried those bath salts for the first time the other day we each did a whole 1 in one shot I was fine about an hour later but my friend. Seems to not be the same mentally ever since each time he talks he makes no sense and has been rambling on for days now what should I do
Bath salts contain cathinone which can have adverse effects of agitation, hallucinations, delusions and paranoia. These drugs are also highly addictive.
If your friend has begun showing symptoms of irrelevant talk after taking these drugs then hallucinations or delusions as a result of these drugs have to ruled out. Since he has been having these symptoms for days now he requires professional help in order to assess the nature of his problem.
It is suggested he is taken to an experienced psychiatrist at the earliest for assessment and treatment.
Hope your query is answered. Dr Anjana Rao Kavoor
