Hello!
Thank you for sking Healthcaremagic!
I had gone through your question and understand your concern.

Answer: Vaginal bleeding between periods or metrorrhagia is not a normal part of the menstrual cycle. Any bleeding outside of the cycle is considered abnormal and can be caused by some factors:
-Hormonal imbalance(Estrogen and progesterone imbalance, dysfunctional ovaries, thyroid gland problems)
-Intrauterine device
-Pregnancy complications(miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies)
-Uterine fibroids or polyps
-Infection can cause inflammation and bleeding
-Malignant tumor
-Other causes (extreme stress, and diabetes)
The cause of this bleeding should be determined and treated.
I suggest you to see a ginecologist. The doctor will want to know about any other symptoms that you have experienced and any medications you are taking.
He will also likely give you a physical exam, including a pelvic examination,he
may draw blood to check hormone levels. You may need to have cultures taken or tissue removed (biopsy) from your cervix or the lining of the uterus for testing. Your doctor may also want to perform an ultrasound — an imaging technique that uses sound waves to create a picture of your reproductive organs.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
