What Causes Abnormal Heart Rhythm With Palpitations?

I am a 27 year old female who is quite overweight right now, by about 80-100 pounds. I have pretty bad anxiety, reflux, and I am a nursing student who is experiencing a lot of stress right now. Lately, probably for 1-2 weeks I have noticed my heart having skipped beats when walking up the stairs. It happens nearly every time. I also notice I get palpitations a lot after eating and especially eating something heavy. I started to notice the skipped beats when returning to school from lunch and ascending the stairs.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. You are an anxiety disorder patient and you also is a nursing student. You are slightly over weight. But the palpitations and skipping beat you are noticing are just imagination. Rather than pure imagination, these symptoms are common for anxiety disorder patient. I shall give you a tip. Whenever you find you have palpitations, just feel and count your pulse. I assure you, it never goes beyond 84. In the same way, when you say you skipped a beat when you climb stairs, count your pulse. The count never will be above 92 and during that whole one minute, you will not find any skipped beats. Please understand, you are obsessing with heart beats and it makes you notice it.Please consult a physician and get your EKG done for peace of mind and consult a psychologist for anxiety disorder therapy treatment.
