My bloods sugars have been between 400 and 700 for over a week. i was put in the hospital for 2 days and they couldnt figure it out and sent me home at 360. I do have the insulin pump, ive changed my site and the amounts it gives me. I cant bring them down and dont understand why
Dear sir i can understand your concern. usually this kind of high sugars most commonly seen in type 1 diabetes you are already using pump so you are going in aright trac. The blood sugar will respond slowly and pump is the most efficient way to get smooth diabetes control with not much hypos. Bringing down your blood sugar levels suddenly with in few days is not also a good thing as body can not adapt for the change. Hope I was able to help you. If you have any further question feel free to write me back. I will be happy to help. Take care. Best Regards. Dr Vamsi Krishna Consultant Diabetologist Apollo Hospitals
