What Causes Abdominal Pain While Suffering From Gallstones?

Hello, I have been seriously ill for two months with abdominal and flank pain. Through CT scans, colonoscopy and ultrasound I have recently gone through diverticulitis and surgery to put a stent in my ureter for hydronephrosis. I am in constant pain and told that I have gallstones and need to have my gallbladder removed. Today I had an endoscopy which showed irregular Z-line in the esophagus and biopsies to rule out Barrett s. What does this mean? Does the Z-line mean I may develop cancer in my eophagus/ I am only 68 and I don t smoke or drink alcohol. I am not over weight but have lost over 15 lbs. in two months from this illness. I am really worried about all of these conditions happening at once. What can that mean? I do have autoimmune conditions.....temperal arteritis and gluten intolerance. Can Actemra cause these systemic reactions? Please give me some of your thoughts. I am concerned. Thank you!

Barret's esophagus is a change in the type of cells lining the lower esophagus as a reaction to chronic irritation by gastric acid.

This change increases the risk of cancer development. This occurs in only a percentage of patients.

At the moment there is nothing to worry about. You should wait for the biopsy results. They might be within normal and no further action required.

The results are best discussed with a specialist to direct you to any further action if required.
