What Causes Abdominal Pain And Bloating Along With Nausea And Headaches?

Hi, I am a 36 year old female mother of two. I have a variety of chronic conditions which I am seeking answers to, with your help hopefully. I have a family doctor who is well aware of my concerns, however it is out of her area of expertise now to diagnose or treat properly. I have awaiting appointments for a MRI next month, as well to see specialists such as a GI and Neurologist. Chronic conditions include: Headache - every day since October. To describe the worst of the headache it started as a severe pain striking on the right side and lasted 20-30 minutes. Another instance, severe pain started on the right and sliced right through to the left and lasted 20-30 minutes, one other severe pain headache caused tingling in my face and nose. For the most part of each day the headache occurs specific to the right side from around the head above the ear to the front of my forehead and behind my eye. I take Tylenol. Nauseous Stomach - every day since October. I am taking Pantoprazole Magnesium twice daily. To describe the symptoms it feels like my stomach is full of bad bacteria or is over producing too much acid and potentially I have a sensitivity to food. I have been diagnosed with IBS which causes me gas, bloating and pain but not nausea. Please let me know your thoughts, it is greatly appreciated. Kelly Coulter

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have abdominal pain and bloating along with nausea and headaches . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like appendicitis , consuming foods known to cause gas in some people, such as milk products that contain lactose, broccoli , crohn’s disease , gastroenteritis , irritable bowel syndrome or urinary tract infection . If condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , endoscopy along with stool test . Doctor may prescribe laxative , anti inflammatory along with antacids . Doctor may also refer you to urologist for condition like UTI . I would suggest you to avoid above mentioned foods , eat light and non spicy specially at night , take light walk after every meal , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for paain ,eat small and frequent meals .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
