What Causes Abdominal Pain After Taking Methamphetamine?
Hello i am a 22yo white male 5 8 130lb. I recently did some experimenting with methemphetamines (two days to be exact) i have been free of use for near 10 hours and am experiencing some muscular abdominal pain as tho i hit the gym. The pain started about four five hours ago and is gradually getting more severe. The amount taken was one quarter gram way of consumption was inhalation (smoke) any advice would be greatly appreciated. If problem becomes too severe i will go to the ER thank you.
Abdominal cramps, discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, dehydration due to gastrointestinal vasoconstriction and blood flow reduction. Regular Methamphetamine intake may result in small intestinal ischemia, septic shock and may complicate to gangrenous cholecystitis or paralytic ileus.
Stay away from addictions, lead a healthy lifestyle, avoid stress and anxiety. Take adequate sleep and plenty of water to detox. PPI's (Pantoprazole), antacids and Spasmol can relieve symptoms. Take all medications under PCP, visit ER.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
