What Causes Abdominal Distention And Shortness Of Breath After Eating?

I am having a sudden change in ability to eat normally. I feel distended easily, feel SOB at times after eating. I quite often feel extremely distended after eating. I constantly belch frequently for hours after eating. This has been going on for months now. I have changed jobs and now have a desk job, not used to sitting.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to bloating.
Some suggestions about the treatment are:
-use simethicone medication to relief the bloating
-Limit your intake of carbonated drinks.
-Avoid foods that cause gas, such vegetables in the cabbage family, dried beans, and lentils.
-Eat slowly and avoid drinking through a straw.
-Use lactose-free dairy products
