Hello Dear. Your symptoms may or may not be related to appendix surgery. After 20 years of surgery i feel it is unlikely that anything can happen regarding the surgery. One rare possibility is intestinal adhesions. In that case you may have symptoms like vomiting, constipation, severe abdominal pain, fever due to infections etc.

But since you dont have such symptoms and your symptoms are quite vague it may be just a hypermotility of bowel which is common in case of some gut infection, diarrhoea or gastritis.

Drink lots of water, avoid spicy and oily food for some days. Take some medications for gastritis like gelusil syrup, eat well cooked home food. If symptoms still persist after a couple of weeks, then kindly consult a general surgeon who may examine you and may order investigations like Ultrasound abdomen and CT scan if required.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
