What Causes Abdominal Cramps While Working Out?

i'm going to go see my gyno any way, time for my yearly visit. But just curious, I am a 42 year old woman who has been regularaly working out on average 4 to 5 times per week. cardio and strength training. Recenly, a couple of days after my menstral cycle was over, about a half hour in to my work out I have gotten abdominal cramps, not like a stitch type of cramping, like mentral cramping (which I do have by the way with my mentral cycle) I actually go to the restroom expecting to see blood, like I have started again or something. But nothing, it finally lets up about 20 minutes after I stop working out. Just curious what your thouhts on what some of things that could be causing it. I happened two nights in a row, I did not work out last night, but am headed back tonight to the gym. Hoping it just goes away :-)
