What Causes Abdominal Cramps While On Depo Provera?
I’m on depo Provera. I’ve been on it about 5 months, my second shot was about 6 days late, but I was told every 11-15 weeks. I’ve recently been having some cramping and abnormal bleeding, similar to a period but it’s a very bright, orangish red color. It’s on and off and it’s freaking me out. Is this normal?

This can sometimes happen. It should stop by itself.
However, if bleeding continues for more than a few days, see your obgyn to check for any bleeding issues. You may need a scan to check for ovarian cysts
Please take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. You may need a confirmatory blood test too.
