What Causes Abdominal Cramps, Pink Vaginal Discharge And Nausea After Having Sex?

I am ovulating, but a few hours after having protected sex with my boyfriend, I began to have severly painful cramps. I could barely walk or take a deep breath without it hurting. After a bowel movement I noticed a little blood in my underwear. Then the cramps returned and I almost passed out- there was a ringing in my ears that wouldn t leave. But after drinking water and sleeping I thought I d be fine. When I woke up the next day there was a sticky, yellow/pink vaginal discharge, and the cramps were worse. I felt nausea as the cramping continued throughout the day, in sharp and extremely painful pangs. During one I thought I would faint for sure, but after getting fresh air and water, I had another bowel movement. The painful cramping and yellow/pink residue has continued into today. I don t understand if it s just part of ovulation or if something was disrupted during sex or if it s something more serious.

Hi..Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Source of pink vaginal spotting or bleeding after sex is normally cervix (lower end of uterus). Bleeding from cervix is a common problem. It may be linked to vigorous sex or low vaginal lubrication causing mechanical injuries leading to damage or tear to the vagina or cervix.
However bleeding from vagina after sex should not be taken lightly. Also you have abdominal cramping, so following pathological conditions could also be the causes:
1. Infection like pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or a sexually transmitted infection (STI) like chlamydia can cause bleeding & cramping
2. Cervical or endometrial polyps.
3. Inflammation of the cervix - Cervicitis.

Kindly visit Gynecologist , she would do investigations like Pap smear or ultrasound examination & make diagnosis & treat accordingly

Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
