Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am at a loss as to what is wrong with me and don t really want to go to the doctor for fear of being accused of overreacting. I have my period and was using The Diva Cup. I thought it was giving me extreme cramping, and actually pressing on my colon or something so I took it out. I also took 4 regular strength ibuprofen. I felt better so resumed using the Cup last night. This morning I again felt very poorly and could only move with great discomfort. I again removed the Cup, but have not felt better. I took more ibuprofen this morning and after taking it easy all day am still in quite a bit of pain. I have had bad cramping in the past, but this does not feel the same. Again I am feeling pain/cramping in my colon as well as my uterus. I cannot move freely and feel nauseous if I get up to fast. Should I just wait and see if this passes?
Hello there. I read through your question and my opinion is that either you are not using the diva cup properly or it is not suiting you. So first of all I would suggest you to stop using it and use regular tampons. For the pain take tab mefenamic acid for a few days and if you are still not relieved consult your physician. I hope that answers your question. I you have any further questions please feel free to write.
