What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Headaches After Menopause?
I am 57 and have not had a period for about 5 years. I had a little bleeding, just enough for a panty liner. Begin to feel as if I was ovulating with the cramps and then headaches. Bleeding and all symptoms have continued for the last 25 days. What is the possible diagnosis and potential treatment?
Hello there. I have read through your question and understand your concern. After a woman has reached menopause it is not normal to get bleeding or spotting. There can be many causes of postmenopausal bleeding like endometrial hyperplasia, vaginal atrophy and even cancer. I would advise you to get yourself assessed by a gynaecologist. You may have to get a hysterescopy or endometrial biopsy done. Treatment will depend on the diagnosis. You would be either put on hormonal therapy or advised dilation and curettage. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic
