What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Blood In Stool While Suffering From Diverticulitis?
I HAVE DIVERTICULITIS , I HAD VERY BAD CRAMPS AND GOT SWEATY AND CLAMY, AND FELT LIKE I HAD TO HEAVE, THEN HAD A BOWELMOVENT FOLLOWED BY BLOOD ! SHOULD I GO TO THE HOSPITAL OR WAIT TO SEE IF THE BLOOD CLEARS ? I STILL HAVE VERY SLIGHT CRAMPS W/ SMALL AMOUNT OF BLOOD DON T KNOW WHAT TO DO .
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, you should definitely go to hospital. You are known case of diverticulitis and you had abdominal pain, blood in stool, sweaty, clamy feeling etc. All these these symptoms are suggestive of worsening of underlying diverticulitis. Most common cause for this diverticulitis is infection. So you need ultrasound, CT scan of abdomen and if needed colonoscopy for diverticulitis. You need injectable treatment. So better to consult hospital and discuss all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
