What Causes Abdominal Bloating In A Heart Patient?

My belly feels like it is bloating I am a heart patient. I am asked this often by my doctor.I also am on vacation away from my doctor I have regular blood checks INR's I also have a defibulator my monitior is with me. What does my bloating mean? What can I do? thank you

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have abdominal bloating in a heart patient. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like heartburn , irritable bowel syndrome , intolerance to dairy products or other food items or worsening of heart disease . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist first to rule out serious condition . Doctor may order ECG, TMT along with echo . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for gastric problem . Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , digestive enzymes . For now take probiotics food and eat small and frequent meals .
