What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Stomach Ache?

about one month ago my gastroenteronologist(sp) prescribed Choloestymine to me to help with continuous problems with not digesting food well (after Gall bladder surgery and pancreatitis)..its been a 1 1/2 years since that emergency surgery and i am still not feeling well after eating...such as severe bloated feeling, uncomfortable ache in stomach area. The diarreaha issue stopped and somewhat normal movements are coming back but this discomfort after i eat is really uncomfortable. she prescribed it to help with the digestion process. now within the last few days i am concerned about eating at all as i dont feel well after eating........got any suggestions? Never mind...didnt know this was going to cost me $15....sorry

Hello,

The symptoms are consistent with gastritis secondary to acid reflux. As a first line management, you can try antacids like Pantoprazole or omeprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.
