What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Constipation While On Valtrex?
Hello, my girlfriend has herpes. I believe it s type 2. She s had one out break and was prescribed valtrex which did work. She s always had trapped gas and constipation issues but recently she s experienced stomach bloating that travels from her sides to her back like trapped gas. I ve read where this can also be caused from herpes type 2 in females. Is there a type of medicine to treat this horrible symptom? Please help.

The symptoms seem to be related to bloating. I suggest you give your daughter daily probiotics.
I also suggest giving her simethicone medication to treat the bloating. If the symptoms continue you should see a gastrologist.
