What Causes A Tingling Sensation In The Tongue After Eating?

Hi this sounds silly. But I tried to rip open a pack of bbq sauce and it had a funny taste in my mouth from the packet and its left the tip of my tongue feeling tingly, I also recently dyed my friends hair and conditionEd it and unsure if I washed my hands is this somehing to worry about if I got somehing in my mouth and it s left my tongue feeling tingly? Just concerned.

Hi.
Thanks for the query..

It looks like you either ripped or injured your tongue while opening the packet or you have got an allergic reaction due to contact of the tongue mucosa to some irritant that can be either over the packet of the sauce of exposure to chemical n the dye..

So my suggestion is to gargle thoroughly to remove any irritant if present over the tongue..
You can also take benadryl to relieve the symptoms..
Do warm saline gargles..
Gargle with 1:1 solution of benadryl and milk of magnesia solution..
Do cool compresses over the tongue..
