What Causes A Tendency To Cry Over Small Things?

I am currently having a problem with my nerves...I am currently taking topomax and bupropren, but lately I cry at the least thing and I am not happy..I have a lot of stress and things going on in my family that I am not handling well...I get hurt so easily and it seems like I am so paranoid that my friends and family just are not liking me or loving me anymore...this is embarrassing, but what is wrong with me?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The tendency of getting cry over small things indicate underlying psychological disturbances in form of subclinical depression or else where behavior modification is part of protective body phenomenon.

I would recommend:
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Prescription of anti anxiety medications
- Behavior therapy with psychologist
- Deep breathing exercises and YOGA
- Manage to have sound regular sleep of 7-8 hours

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
