What Causes A Sudden Metallic Taste In Mouth?

what can cause a sudden metallic taste in mouth, strange odor, odd feeling all over. Only last a minute or so and I feel a bit odd for a minute or so after symptoms go away. Happens once a month or so and I can t tag anything in particular to the episodes.

Hello thank you for writing us here.
The most likely cause could be a lesion along the branch of facial nerve (chorda tympani) or the gustatory nucleus present at the origin of the facial nerve. You may need a scan for the diagnosis.
Also make sure you didn't take any specific medicine because metallic taste could also be a side effect of some medicines.
