What Causes A Sudden Episode Of Excessive Sweating And Weakness?
My husband, age 66, was riding the bus home from work this evening, and was feeling weak all over - but centering on the chest. He also was sweating for several minutes. He has been home for 45 minutes or so, and while no longer sweating he is still experiencing a feeling of weakness. What might this be?

Pain in the chest with sweating needs to be evaluated as there is possibility of angina or myocardial infarction. Even sometimes hypoglycaemia and electrolyte imbalance may also cause the above. I advise you to consult your doctor as soon as possible to rule out any cardiac causes of sweating and pain.
