What Causes A Spongy Lump On The Leg?

Small spongy lump on left leg, a little bit away from the shin bone. Been there for a few months, no pain. Not growing. 19 year old female. Saw the chemist person when it first appeared, he felt it (Because you cant see it unless I lean really hard on that leg and can only be felt) Said it was a fatty lump. Im healthy. Should I trust him or go to a docter.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

It is hard to tell not being able to examine it. It might be a fatty tissue, lipoma or varicose vein. Most likely this is nothing serious or nothing you should be afraid of.
If it bothers you, the best way to find out what are you dealing with is to have an ultrasound of this area.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
