What Causes A Small Bump At The Bottom Of The Left Foot?

Hi, I just developed a small bump on the bottom of my left foot. It is under the skin between the heel and the toe pad. Closer to the heel. It feels about the size off a small pea. It is somewhat painful to walk but not incapacitating. I had something similar about 6 months ago but closer to the toe pad. It lasted a few days then went away. I am 62 and relatively healthy. On Pariet for Reflux and cypralex for mild depression. Truthfully I am worried that it could be a clot which could travel to my lungs, heart.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a plantar wart. Consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. Once the diagnosis is confirmed you can opt for cauterisation or cryosurgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
