What Causes A Sensation Of Something Stuck In Throat?

I have been having the sensation of something in my throat, or neck for years. I ve had multiple tests done including endoscopy, scope down the nose, barium swallow, ultrasound of the thyroid, etc.. All come back negative accept my ultrasound came back showing a very small nodule about 3mm in size on my thyroid. My endocrinologist put me on synthroid, and told me the nodule was too small to even do biopsy. As time goes on, the feeling gets worse and some days really bad, and I have dizzy spells. Perhaps from anxiety? Any input would be much appreciated. I don t know what other tests I could do.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
this is called as Globus, is a persistent or intermittent non-painful sensation of a lump or foreign body in the throat. It is a commonly encountered clinical condition that is usually long-lasting, difficult to treat, and has a tendency to recur. Furthermore, due to the uncertain etiology of globus, it remains difficult to establish standard investigation and treatment strategies for affected patient..globus sensation improved after 8 wk of proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy..so i recommend tab rabeprazole 20 mg once daily.Take the tablet in the morning before eating...get well soon...
