What Causes A Ridge At The Opening Of The Vagina During Sexual Intercourse?

Hi, I m a 19 year old female and I m having issues with sexual intercourse. When my boyfriend penetrates my vagina there seems to be some type of ridge just past the opening of my vagina that causes pain during intercourse. Do I have some type of condition? What could it possibly be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Sorry about the pains Regarding your observation of a ridge during sexual Intercourse that is associated with pain I am suggesting that you have developed a vaginal laceration possibly from previous Intercourse
In view of this please see a gynecologist specialist for further expect clinical assessment and possible surgical correction
Meanwhile take some analgesic pending your appointment
I hope this helps
